The G&J Electronics Inc. barostat was first developed in 1991 and was continually improved over the years.
The current models are the Distender Series II:
Distender II – human device, Distender IIR – Rodent mini barostat
These instruments have simultaneous dual pressure, dual balloon capability, lending to more complex distention protocols:
